LibreOffice 24.2.4 Is Now Available for Download. The Document Foundation has announced the general availability of LibreOffice 24.2.4, the fourth point release in the LibreOffice 24.2 series, which addresses over 70 bugs. Released just over a month after LibreOffice 24.2.3, LibreOffice 24.2.4 aims to fix numerous bugs, crashes, and other issues reported by users, enhancing the stability and reliability of the office suite.
LibreOffice 24.2.4 Is Now Available for Download – Bug Fixes
This release addresses a total of 72 bugs, with details available in the RC1 and RC2 changelogs. LibreOffice 24.2.4 can be downloaded as binaries for DEB (Install LibreOffice with Deb File on Debian Linux) and RPM-based (Install Latest LibreOffice on RHEL) GNU/Linux distributions from the official website.
If you have installed LibreOffice 24.2 from your Linux distribution’s software repositories, you will need to wait until the 24.2.4 release becomes available there. Alternatively, you can download the source code from the official website if you prefer compiling software from source.
LibreOffice 24.2 will receive seven maintenance updates, with support continuing until November 30, 2024. The next update, LibreOffice 24.2.5, is scheduled for mid-July 2024.
The Document Foundation emphasizes that this is the “Community” edition of LibreOffice, supported by volunteers. For enterprise-class deployments, they recommend the LibreOffice Enterprise family of applications from their ecosystem partners.
