Improvements in KDE Frameworks 6.3.0

KDE Frameworks 6.3 has been released, enhancing the rendering of SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) images on screens with fractional scale factors, thereby reducing blurriness. This update also visually overhauls small in-window dialogs in QtQuick-based apps and command bars in QtWidgets-based apps.

This release also enhances the icons displayed in dialogs across the Plasma desktop and apps by using normal colored icons. It improves the functionality of checkboxes in the dialog for selecting windows and screens to share and update some Breeze icons to adjust their colors when using a dark color scheme properly.

KDE Frameworks 6.3 also addresses a long hang issue when accessing the File Search page in System Settings caused by the file indexer being under heavy load. It fixes the “Pick your installation option” popup in the “Get new [thing]” windows, which broke after upgrading to Qt 6.7, and improves search functionality in the Kickoff application launcher.
